Drummer Wanted
I'm Brad Floyd, a singer-songwriter out of Oviedo who's been playing Central Florida for over 30 years. I write alt-country swamp rock for the enlightened road-weary soul, and I'm putting a four-piece band behind these songs. The drum seat is open.
Original songs, not a cover gig. The band is lead guitar, bass and me on vocals and guitar. What's missing is the heartbeat: a drummer who can sit in a swampy groove, leave space when the song wants space, and push when it's time to push. What I'm listening for
- Solid time and a feel for roots, southern rock and Americana grooves.
- Taste over flash. Shared intent matters more than chops.
- Your own kit and your own way to get to rehearsal.
- Harmony vocals are a plus, not a requirement.
Rehearsals
We rehearse once a week in the Oviedo / Sanford area, most likely weekend afternoons. Charts and demos go out ahead of time, so rehearsal is for playing, not learning. Shows are paid.
